Greenwich, CT – Deck Replacement Project

A spacious white wooden deck attached to a two-story house.

This Greenwich home had a deck in severe disrepair. The framing was compromised, the decking was unsafe, and the railing did not meet local code requirements. Our solution was a complete tear down and rebuild to restore safety and long term performance.

When replacing a deck the structure is the most important part. Modern decking materials often carry warranties of thirty to fifty years, which can easily outlast framing that is not built correctly. For this reason every frame we build is installed with care, fully secured, and protected from insects and weather. On this project we used specialized deck tape to extend the life of the pressure treated lumber and sealed all vulnerable areas, including the ledger board. This is an area where many decks fail due to poor workmanship, so we take every measure to ensure lasting protection.

The final deck included fire rated PVC decking, lattice paneling for a clean and finished appearance, and railings that meet all current safety codes. The result was a beautiful and durable outdoor space that will serve our client and their family for many seasons to come.
